Ghost headlined a show at Toyota Center in Houston, Tx on August 16th, 2025 on their Skeletour!

Ghost is a Swedish metal band originating from Linköping, Östergötland and was formed in 2006. Their current lineup consists of a group of Nameless Ghouls led by Tobias Forge.

A strict phone‑free policy was implemented requiring fans to secure devices in Yondr pouches. This forged a deeper connection between audience and band making the experience deeply immersive and more emotionally charged. Interactions felt more authentic, energy was heightened, and the absence of screens allowed for full engagement.

No opener, phone-free policy, and two hours of high-energy performance. Ghost dramatically emerged from behind a tattered curtain covering the whole stage, launching a powerful one-two punch of “Peacefield” and “Lachryma. Two of four songs during this set featured on the band’s latest album, Skeletá.

The stage was reminiscent to a gothic cathedral fused with Tim Burton’s fever dream, replete with gothic faux stained-glass, towering arches, pillars of pyro, and a glowing inverted crucifix suspended dramatically overhead.

Lead vocalist Tobias Forge, fully in character as Papa V Perpetua, and his band of Nameless Ghouls dominated the stage from start to finish! Their set included highlights such as GRAMMY-Award winning “Cirice,” cowbell during “Umbra,” fireworks during “Year Zero,” and the dramatic closer “Monstrance Clock” which inspired communal sing-alongs and encapsulated the ritual theme “Come together, together as one.” The encore featuring “Mary on a Cross,” “Dance Macabre,” and “Square Hammer” secured the showstopper status.

Ghost’s Skeletour was a theatrical and fan-centric high water mark. With cinematic staging, a finely curated setlist, and a disruptive yet effective phone-free policy. It was less a concert and more a communal dark ritual that left the audience buzzing long after the final chord.
