(Hed) PE headlined at Scout Bar in Houston, Tx on October 3rd, 2024 with support from Submit Thy Will & Memory on their Detox Summer Tour!
Huntington Beach, California’s (Hed) P.E. were founded in 1994 by frontman Jahred Gomes, whose goal was to fuse the region’s long standing punk rock heritage with G-funk-inflected hip hop – (Hed) P.E.’s “G-punk“ was born! The group found mainstream success in the early 2000s via their second and third albums, Broke and Blackout.
In 2023 (Hed) P.E. released their full length album Detox which debuted #1 on Apple Itunes. The album was recorded at frontman Jared Gomes’ private studio compound with additional production and songwriting alongside Remy Dovianus, before being mixed and mastered by Ulrich Wild (Pantera, Deftones, Static-X).

(Hed) PE Touring on the strength of their latest album release “Detox”, features band members Jared “M.C.U.D.” Gomes – lead vocals, melodica, Jeremiah “Trauma” Stratton – drums, backing vocals, Kurt “Kid Bass” Blankenship – bass and Nathan Javier – guitars
On Thursday October 3rd, 2024 a capacity crowd gathered at Scout Bar in Houston, Texas for a night of amazing live music. Featuring headliner (Hed) PE with opener Submit Thy Will, an alternative metal band out of Huntsville, Texas and direct support from Houston natives Memory whose melodic heavy sound make them a local favorite.
(Hed) PE lead off the night with a pair of offerings from “Detox,” “No Way Out” and “Rat Race” followed by “Peer Pressure“ from their 2006 release “Back 2 Base X”. The band then preceded to play songs spanning their amazing 30-year career before closing out the night with fan favorites “Bartender”, “Sophia” and finally closing out the night with “Renegade”.

If you missed your opportunity to catch (Hed) PE in the intimate setting of Scout Bar, you still have a chance to catch them on the 2025 “Nu Metal Revival Tour”. The tour will launch on February 22, 2025 in Pittsburg, Kansas and conclude on March 26 in Houston, Texas, at Warehouse Live Midtown where (Hed) PE will play in support of original Saliva singer Josey Scott who will headline the tour.
