Lil Wayne headlined a show at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Tx on September 18th, 2025 with support from Tyga and No Cap on his Tha Carter VI Tour!

Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter VI Tour felt like a solid victory lap for a veteran who still commands respect and admiration. Even people who aren’t familiar with his newer material seemed to gravitate towards his live show performance as a reminder of what made Wayne a standout in the first place. The nostalgia, the hits, the energy. It all goes a long way.

Wayne leans heavily on his classics like “6 Foot 7 Foot,” “Lollipop,” “A Milli,” which are huge crowd pleasers. Wayne’s charisma and “greatest of all time” status feels well deserved. For long-time fans, the throwbacks are a major draw.  The show was packed with nearly 40 songs, which made up approximately a 90-minute set. There’s a lot of material that gives fans value. The nostalgia factor was a big draw. Fans appreciated hearing songs from the earlier Tha Carter albums. Also, mixtape cuts such as “Watch My Shoes,” an insanely hot track off of Wayne’s 2009 mixtape “No Ceilings.” Straight lyricism, no hooks. This tended to get the best response with people singing along and going wild. Wayne brought out special guests including Young Money artists Jay Jones, Domiio, Lucifena, Tyga, & his youngest son Lil Novi. Wayne’s medley-style approach moved fast with partial versions of songs allowing for more content.

This tour proved Wayne is still very much a draw. His reputation, catalog, and ability to command an audience remains strong. This show not only unveiled a new masterpiece, but it also celebrated what came before. For longtime fans it delivers a nostalgic, satisfying, and an emotionally prevalent performance. This was a solid reminder of why Lil Wayne is considered one of the greats.

Wayne speaking to the crowd before concluding the evening:

“I know we all ain’t shit without each other. I ain’t shit without you.”

“My name is Tunechi and I’m the best rapper alive.”
