Shinedown headlined a show at Toyota Center in Houston, Tx on August 27th, 2025 with support from Bush and Morgan Wade on their Dance, Kid, Dance Tour!

Speaking on the two new songs and the “Dance, Kid, Dance” tour frontman Brent Smith said:

“We needed to approach everything different this time… The last two albums were both conceptual so it was important for us to really ask ourselves creatively where do we want to go. The answer to that was we want to go everywhere so there was no specific direction. We just started writing, and let the new songs guide us. I also think we stopped saying “why” and started saying “why not?.” When we were thinking about touring, we had certain artists in mind. Instead of being of the mindset that they wouldn’t want to come out to tour with us, we just asked them — and they said yes. Honestly, it’s quite humbling, we are extremely excited for this new chapter, and tour. SO LET’S GO!!!!”

Bush are an English rock band originating from London, England and was formed in 1992. Their current lineup consists of lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Gavin Rossdale, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Chris Traynor, bassist/backing vocalist Corey Britz, and drummer Nik Hughes.

Bush launched their set with “Scars,” the leadoff track from their latest album “I Beat Loneliness”. Even though the record just came out, the crowd was already singing along. Gavin Rossdale was absolutely electric roaming across the stage, traversing the catwalk, and even emerging himself into the audience to get up close with fans. Their biggest highlight was whenever he toured the entire arena serenading fans for “Flowers On A Grave”. The performance built through hit after hit, culminating in a heartfelt solo rendition of “Glycerine” and was followed by “Comedown” to conclude their set.

Shinedown is an American rock band originating from Jacksonville, Florida and was formed in 2001. Their current lineup consists of vocalist Brent Smith, guitarist/backing vocalist Zach Myers, bassist/backing vocalist Eric Bass, and drummer Barry Kerch.

Shinedown ignited the arena with flames, fireworks, and the high-octane opening title track “Dance, Kid, Dance”! Following with a few more hits, such as “Cut the Cord” and “Devil,” before debuting another new single “Three Six Five”.

The band used a runway and a central circular stage to engage fans in every corner. After “Enemies” they made their way down the runway to the B-Stage where they slowed things down a bit. They performed four songs down there starting with the intimate “Call Me”. Also two deeper cuts, “Through the Ghosts” and “The Crow & the Butterfly”. Brent Smith frequently engaged with fans encouraging them to greet those beside them, bringing fans in front of the barricade, and even accepting fan request deviating from the setlist to accommodate their request. They returned back to the main stage for seven more songs including Lynyrd Skynyrd cover “Simple Man,” “Sound of Madness,” & “Second Chance”.

This tour was absolutely worth the hype. It’s a high octane ride filled with spectacle, emotion, and connection.
